Over 700 Toys Collected

BOSTON’S FAVORITE SPORTS CELEBRITIES COLLECTED TOYS FOR CHARITY AT THE NATICK COLLECTION

Andover, Mass. — (November 22, 2010) This holiday season, Natick Collection and Celebrities For Charity Foundation invited kids to help kids.  Natick Collection hosted a program that invited kids to donate an unwrapped toy (value of $10 or more) to a child in need and, in return, they got to meet a professional athlete and receive their autograph.  The athletes who appeared  were:

  • David Givens, Former New England Patriot
  • Ray Bourque, Former Boston Bruin
  • Kevin Faulk, New England Patriot
  • Milan Lucic, Boston Bruin

“We owe a great deal of gratitude to the fans who came out to Natick Collection to donate a toy.   We collected a record number 724 toys that have been distributed to several human service agencies.  Those services will make the holidays a little brighter for children who are less fortunate,” said Cleon Daskalakis, Cofounder of Celebrities For Charity Foundation.

Fans who did not bring a toy to donate were able to make a $10 donation to Celebrities For Charity Foundation so that they could still meet their favorite athletes and receive an autograph.
