Milan Lucic lends his time to collect toys for kids
Milan Lucic was selected by the Boston Bruins 50th in the 2006 NHL Draft. Lucic grew up in East Vancouver. The 6-foot-4, 228-pound battling Lucic gained fame in his junior days with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League with his punch-outs, hits, 30 goals and 38 assists that helped the Giants win junior hockey’s Memorial Cup championship in 2007.
Lucic brought his physical play to the Bruins during the 2007-2008 season. His determination and focus earned him the 7th Player Award as voted by the fans. Despite injuries during the 2009/10 season Lucic played his 200th NHL game on October 9, 2010 vs. Phoenix and he recorded his 100th NHL point with a goal November 10, 2010 in Pittsburgh. He had his second career hat trick scored on November 18, 2010 vs. Florida with the final two goals scored in a 15-second span in the third period.
Lucic understands how important it is to give back to the community. He hosts the NMTW Rock & Jock Softball game which benefits Health and Education Services and he also lends his time to other community organizations to help raise awareness of their programs.

- Scored his 20th goal of the season against the Florida Panthers on Jan. 26, 2011 breaking his previous career season-high of 17
- Has 15 goals on the season after scoring nine in an injury-shortened 2009-10 campaign and is two shy of his career season-high (17 in 2008-09)
- Has four multiple-point games, including his second career hat trick scored Nov. 18 vs. Florida with the final two goals scored in a 15-second span in the third period
- Had a five-game point streak from Oct. 9-21 (3-3=6 totals). He had a four-game point streak from Nov. Oct. 28-Nov. 5 (2-2=4 totals)
- Played his 200th NHL game on Oct. 9 vs. Phoenix
- Recorded his 100th NHL point with a goal Nov. 10 in Pittsburgh
