Kevin Faulk hosts his Celebrity Softball game

Kevin graduated from Louisiana State University in three and a half years – something he calls his proudest accomplishment. He was selected 46th overall in the 1999 NFL Draft. Since turning pro, he’s set the Patriots’ team record for most receptions by a running back. Faulk’s professional career is highlighted by 3 Super Bowl Championship victories.

Faulk entered the 2010/11 season as the Patriots’ all-time leading return specialist, totaling 5,031 combined return yards (4,098 kick return yards and 933 punt return yards). He is the Patriots’ all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 12,140. He ranks fifth in rushing (3,505), fourth in receptions (418), eighth in pass receiving yards (3,605), 21st in scoring (200), sixth in punt return yards (932) and first in kickoff return yards (4,098).

Faulk’s family, including wife Latisha and children are very important to him, and his goodwill extends to the community. After Hurricane Katrina, which ravaged his native Louisana, Faulk organized two trips to Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod to visit and aid displaced hurricane victims. Charity wasn’t a one-time thing, either – Faulk is frequently active with the United Way in both Massachusetts and Louisiana, and he hosts a Kevin Faulk Celebrity Softball event to benefit local charities.

“He is one of the best team players we have. Whatever he can do to help us win, he’d do. You just can’t say enough about a guy like Kevin Faulk” – Bill Belichick, Head Coach, New England Patriots

“Kevin’s passion and excitement to help the United Way is infectious. The Rox pride themselves on giving back to the community. In this case, we have an opportunity to help a community that produced a player and a person that has meant a lot to New England Sports Fans and we’re happy to be invited to the party.” – Brian Voelkel, General Manager Brockton Rox
