NetRaffle.org

NetRaffle.org is an internet based raffle system that was developed by Celebrities For Charity to enable celebrities and charitable organizations to conduct online raffles on a worldwide basis.  Celebrities For Charity uses NetRaffle.org to help fund its charitable efforts while supporting celebrities in their philanthropic pursuits.

Utilizing the NetRaffle.org platform, celebrities are able to raffle off “Once in a Lifetime” type prizes that raise substantial funds and awareness for charities.

Recently, The Saints Gulf Coast Renewal Fund used NetRaffle.org to offer the “Once in a Lifetime” prize pack of a Saints Super Bowl Ring and a trip to New Orleans to attend a Saints game.  The raffle raised over 1.4 million dollars for the Saints Gulf Coast Renewal Fund that was established to assist those impacted by the devastating gulf coast oil spill.  In addition to being featured on the cover of the Saints Gameday Magazine, the raffle received national media coverage when the winner was announced on Monday Night Football.

Donations

Many charities lack the size, constituency, or the access to celebrities, to garner much, if any, support from them. To assist these charities, CFC’s Celebrity Connect program utilizes its relationships with the celebrities it works with to provide some assistance to these charities. CFC maintains an inventory of autographed memorabilia that charities can, by applying directly to CFC, have donated to them for utilization in their fundraising efforts.

The autographed memorabilia donated is primarily from Boston area professional athletes and the application and instructions for the program are available from the following link

Patient Comfort

Charities and families who are involved with people who are seriously or terminally ill often wish to provide comfort to these ill individuals by introducing them to their favorite celebrity.  This can be difficult to do because they are often hospitalized or confined at home. To assist these charities and families in arranging such a meeting, CFC makes every effort to help coordinate one between them and the celebrities with whom CFC has relationships, especially when the ill individual is a seriously ill child.

However, if CFC cannot arrange a meeting, it tries to arrange a phone call, and if neither option is available, it tries to arrange for the individual to receive some personally autographed memorabilia, which is also provided to patients who have gotten a personal visit or phone call.

In addition to patient visits, CFC donates bulk quantities of autographed trading cards to area hospitals so that they can give them to their patients as necessary. CFC purchases these cards in bulk and has them autographed by the professional athletes with which CFC is associated. Offered free of charge to area hospitals, this program provides a much needed boost to the morale of these young patients.
