Troy Brown
Continued
As a member of the New England Patriots, Troy has become a fan favorite for his activities both on and off the field. He was awarded the 2004 Ron Burton Community Service Award for the Patriot most dedicated to serving the community in a positive way. Troy's charitable efforts have included a national spokesperson campaign for the United Way, where his famed "Bingo" slogan was coined. He currently hosts an annual "Troy Brown Celebrity Bingo" event that brings over 900 participants to Gillette Stadium competing for over $10,000 in prize money. The event helps fund Celebrities for Charity Foundation and other children's charities. Troy is also actively involved with the Inner City Scholarship fund.

In addition to being a professional football player and leader in the community, Troy Brown is first and foremost a husband and a father. Troy and his wife Kim, who met at Marshall University, reside in the city of their alma mater (Huntington, W.Va.) with their two sons, Sir'mon and SaanJay. During the off-season Troy can be found coaching his sons' sports teams, spending time with his family and playing video games with his kids.

It has been 14 years since Troy was drafted by the New England Patriots, and he hasn't played for any other team since that day. His loyalty is nearly unmatched - he's one of only four players in the Patriots' history to play for the team for 14 seasons, and he's been with his team longer than any other current professional athletes in Boston. He's stuck through ups and downs to win three Super Bowls and make his mark in the record books. He is first in Patriots' history in all-time receptions (577) and second in receiving yardage (6,366), and he's also been elected team captain for the past six seasons.
